7.jpgThe four general refugee law courses aim to increase the knowledge and skills of government officials who are involved in the formulation and application of legislation and policies affecting people in need of protection, and who have only a basic knowledge of international refugee law.  They are also open to civil society players, particularly those in advocacy for the protection of forcibly uprooted people.

The thematic course on “Refugee Law and Human Rights” targets adjudicators, professionals providing legal advice to refugees and asylum-seekers, policy-makers and scholars who already have a good knowledge of international refugee law.

Participants in the courses will have the opportunity to interact with practitioners and experts in the field of refugee/IDP protection, who will facilitate various thematic sessions of the programmes. Different learning methodologies are used to encourage participants to apply knowledge and skills acquired in operations in a practical and pragmatic manner.
