12th Specialised Military Course on the Law of Armed Conflict (English) 6 - 17 October, Sanremo13th Specialised Military Course on the Law of Armed Conflict (French) 6 - 17 October, Sanremo The aim of the Specialized Course on the Law of Armed Conflict is to sharpen the participant's knowledge of the applicability and scope of international humanitarian law in contemporary armed conflict situations and what protection it provides to non-combatants and non-military objects. The responsibilities and tasks of various actors to promote and disseminate international humanitarian law are dealt with, as well as the responsibilities and accountability of military and civilian authorities.Lectures are given by experienced military officers, academics and also by experts from international organisations. The topics of the programme are developed through the discussion of case studies with participants divided into working groups.This two-week course is meant for military officers, military lawyers, diplomats, law enforcement officials, representatives of international organisations and non-governmental organisations and for other groups of persons directly engaged in the application of international humanitarian law.The participants should have a good basic knowledge of international humanitarian law before attending the Course. The Course is in English and French.
Course fee € 2.000 The fee is Inclusive of tuition, teaching material, lunch and refreshments on all working days, two receptions, transportation from/to Nice airport and Sanremo, diploma, group photo and plaque of the Institute.
